Erik Friedlander is an acclaimed composer and cellist with over 20 albums released as a bandleader. He brings a unique, emotionally resonant voice to film and media, with a portfolio that spans narrative features, documentaries, short films, dance works, and advertising.

His most recent film project is Baby Ruby (2022), the striking debut from director Bess Wohl. Other notable credits include the acclaimed series The Romanoffs, created by Mad Men's Matthew Weiner; a special promotional spot for America’s Got Talent; and the feature films Oh Lucy! (2017) by Atsuko Hirayanagi and Thoroughbreds (2018) by Cory Finley.

Erik’s scores have enhanced a range of projects including the documentary Nothing on Earth (dir. Mick Angus), the feature Future Weather (dir. Jenny Deller), the short Spade (dir. Mandi Riggi), and PBS’s four-part series The Kingdom of David: The Saga of the Israelites.
